David Herman, pianist

This page contains information on my work and background as a professional pianist

I started playing piano at age 10 and entered the Conservatory of Amsterdam in the young talent department at age 17. At this music academy, I first studied with Marjes Benoist, later to be followed by David Kuyken, with whom I finished both my Masters with cum laude in 2009. I continued my studies at the Liszt Ferenc music academy in Budapest receiving lessons from Balázs Szokolay and Gábor Eckhardt. I performed at various large venues in the Netherlands and abroad, among other at the Muziekgebouw aan 't IJ (Amsterdam), Oosterpoort (Groningen) and the Music hall of the conservatory in Budapest. Currently, as a pianist, I dedicated myself especially to playing chamber music concerts.
