Murals for Communities

The project revolves around the creation and utilisation of Mural art for the purpose of city rejuvenation and community involvement, creating a transnational residency programme to involve Mural artists and local communities to (co)create mural artworks based on storytelling, and offer the participating artists insights in manners to expand their work possibilities on a transnational manner as well.

The project consist of three partners, Stichting Street Art in Heerlen (NL), the Kaunas Technical University (LT) and the Waterford City & County Council (IE), including Waterford Walls (IE) and Innovative Creative Projects (LT) as associated partners, and with Waterford City & County Council as the Lead Partner of the project. I developed Murals for Communities under the Creative Europe programme together with Grants Europe Consulting. The project was selected for funding in 2018.

More information on the project can be found at the official Murals for Communities website.
