Craft Hub

Craft Hub introduces a series of interventions designed to support & showcase the wealth of European craft heritage and craft making skills. The project’s goal is to thereby build capacity for craft practitioners, increase participation, understanding and audiences for crafts and safeguard craft skills & practice. Craft Hub sets up a transnational residency & skill development programme for craft professionals, a series of exhibitions & conferences, a digital repository and material library, and a closing festival to be held in Carlow (IE).

The project brings together 9 partners from Ireland, UK, Germany, Greece, Italy, Denmark, Norway and Portugal, covering organisations active in the field of craft practice, education, research, advocacy and business, and with Carlow County Council (IE) as the project’s Lead Partner. I have helped to secure funding for the project under the Creative Europe programme, in cooperation with Grants Europe Consulting. The project is selected for funding by this programme in 2020.
