Open Digital Libraries for creative users (ODL)
Open Digital Libraries for creative users (ODL) brings together a partnership of three national libraries in Europe, the Koninklijke Bibliotheek (NL) as the Lead Partner of the project, the Österreichischen Nationalbibliothek (AT) and the Eesti Rahvusraamatukogu (EE).
ODL develops and tests new artistic and creative methods to engage current and new users to digital library collections, and expands skills & knowledge within the European library sector needed to promote access and creative usage of digital library collections. Hereby, ODL offers new solutions for libraries in the way the can present their collections, and better connect their infrastructures with the characteristics and needs of our increasingly digitised societies. In order to do so, the partnership sets up a series of transnational artistic experiments using digital data and physical collections, user-centred workspaces, and a virtual lab. I have helped to develop the project, in cooperation with BECCA Europe, under the Creative Europe programme. ODL is selected funding by this programme in 2020.
More information can be found on the official ODL website.
